The solution to audience mic delivery

Have you ever been to a public lecture or forum where it was challenging to connect the audience members with the microphones? You know the situation-- someone wants to ask a question, but either has to make their way to a central mic (which is unfair to handicapped folks) or wait while the official "microphone bearer" scoots across the room to deliver the mic to them.
Here's a solution: The tossable ugly-doll microphone! (See Figure).
We had this problem often at school, so a student took it upon himself to help. He placed a wireless microphone inside one ear of a soft, and rather cute, stuffed animal. Now the mic can simply be tossed around the room as needed. The mic is accessible so the batteries can be changed.

This is a great idea. Do you think it would work at IMC? We could put the mike in a plush toy made in the image of the Buddha. Okay, I admit, I'm offending my own sensibilities.
I didn't know you had a blog. You've been holding out on me.

I thought about that too! Then I realized it was likely too silly for that atmosphere, fun and practical as it would be.
